‘Garden‘ is an unglazed ceramic vessel with a lid, finished in a matte, earthy surface that feels raw and tactile rather than glossy. The form gently narrows at the top, recalling the shape of a cherry, echoing the fruit trees that appear throughout the scene.

The imagery unfolds around the piece like a slow summer day: on one side, young gardeners plant a cherry tree and spray water at each other in playful heat; on the other, the garden shifts to late summer, where fruit is harvested, and friends gather to relax together. The unglazed surface softens the colours, giving the work a quiet, grounded presence – like a memory held in clay.
