Tuke’s Beach is part of my ongoing exploration of the body in landscape, where intimate moments unfold within both natural and constructed spaces. Inspired by Henry Scott Tuke’s paintings, this work collages elements from his beach scenes, transforming his observations of individual figures into dynamic group interactions. The boys are reinterpretations of Tuke’s original figures.

The surface is built with layered slips, giving depth to the forms and a tactile richness reminiscent of oil painting. Covered with a transparent glaze, the piece maintains its bright colors even in sunny environments.
